Delores Jacoby

The visitation will be on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Yeaman’s Park Presbyterian Church at 5931 Murray Drive, Hanahan, SC. The service will commence there at 2:00. After the service, the entombment will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 River’s Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406 at 3:00.

Mrs. Jacoby was born September 29, 1927 in Loretto, NE, a daughter of Roy Zabka and Katherine (Padden) Zabka. She was employed by Mutual of Omaha for ten years prior to her marriage to Ronald and move to SC. Mrs. Jacoby retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard working as an Employee Relations Specialist for 27 years. Mrs. Jacoby was a member of Palmetto Toastmistress Club. She was past queen of Milcah Temple No. 77 Daughters of the Nile and also served as Recorder for ten years.

She was a member of Yeaman’s Park Presbyterian Church for over 60 years.

Surviving are one son, David A. Jacoby (Sharon) of White Marsh, MD; one daughter, Michele K. Warner of Hanahan, SC; three sisters, Patty Roberts of Elkhorn, NE, Mary Lou Raitt (Daryll) of Hartsburg, MO, and Deanna Moran of North Platte, NE; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and step-father Louis Novotny; son, Daniel R. Jacoby; daughter, Tammy R. Jacoby; brother Earl Novotny; sisters Doris Ball, Darlene Fletcher, Marilyn Lind and Nellie Donaldson; and granddaughter Heather Aimee Saukas.
