Gerta S. Puterbaugh.88, of North Charleston, widow of William Loy Puterbaugh, entered into eternal rest Monday July 31, 2017. The relatives and friends of Gerta Puterbaugh are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday August 4, 2017 at 10 am at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406, entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home. Gerta was born in Hemfurth, Germany, a daughter of the late Heinrich Simshauser and Lina Emde Simshauser. She had worked as a property manager for the Sineath Development Company for many years and she was a member of the Charleston Club- NCO. Gerta is survived by her son: Larry Puterbaugh and his wife Jerri, of Hanahan, SC, a granddaughter: Amber Lynne Yates and a great granddaughter: Stella Yates and a sister: Rose Taylor.
