

He was a man of quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and deep wisdom, leaving behind a legacy of love, integrity, and resilience. Born on August 23, 1935 in Saint Stephens, SC, to Rev. Walter and Mary Bell Wright, Isaac grew up with a strong sense of family and hard work, values that guided him throughout his life. He dedicated himself to a career in the military and police service, where he was respected for his dedication, generosity, and mentorship.
He was greeted in heaven by his parents and his beloved wife, Mrs. Sandra Wright, and was joined one day later by his son, Steven Wright.
He is survived by his children: Quintin Wendell Wright, Walter Daniel Wright (Sabrina), Isaac Wright Jr. (Frida), Paportia Reginald Wright (Tammy), Sandra Wright Laribo (Kenard); adopted daughter and granddaughter, Tikealla Wright; daughter-in-law: Diane Wright; brother-in-law: Pastor Anthony Hamby; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, close cousins, and friends, who will carry his memory forward with love and pride.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the lessons he taught, the kindness he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
Isaac’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at noon at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, located at 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC, 29406 where family and friends will gather to honor and remember him.
Rest well, Isaac. Your love, your lessons, and your legacy will remain in our hearts forever.
