James Durward Perry of Mt Pleasant SC, passed away Wednesday, September 27th. Jim passed peacefully in his sleep with his loyal dog, Waffles, by his side. Jim was born in Conway, SC, on July 6th, 1941. He is survived by his sister Anna Rion, his sons, Jimmy and Bobby, their wives, Kim and Melanie, and his beloved grandchildren Lindsey, Hayley, Tristan, Bo, Ashely and Julia, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim is preceded by his parents Lolly and Durward Perry, of Georgetown, and the love of his life Sandra, who passed earlier this year. They were married in Georgetown on June 30th, 1962, or as Jim would say "60 years-8 months- 12 days- 14 hours and oh let's see, about 30 minutes" James proudly served in the Army, rising to the rank of Captain, and garnering the Bronze Star Medal for heroic service during a time of combat in Vietnam. James was a proud and honorable man who impacted the lives of everyone who met him. No one left the house without a hug, an "I love you, be smart, remember the rules, and remember who you are". Thank you Dad. We will forever carry a positive mental attitude(PMA) and the memory of all the life lessons and a laugh that would fill a room. We love you Dad
