Jerry Ralph Holdridge

Jerry R. Holdridge USN Retired SCQM (SS) of Goose Creek, SC entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Veteran's Victory House in Walterboro, SC. Jerry was born November 1, 1940 in Charleston, WV. Son of the late T.V. Holdridge and the late Nina Holder Holdridge. He was preceded in death by his Brother Ronald Looman (Jean) Crosslanes, WV. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruth Ann Herlinger Holdridge, three daughters; Julia Hart (Brian) of Charleston, Gerry McDivitt (Mark) of Mt. Pleasant, and Mary Adams (Dan) of Atlanta, GA. Grandchildren; Sydney Adams, Jordan McDivitt and Joshua Holdridge Hart. Brother; Tom Holdridge (Helen) of Fuquay Varina, NC, nephews and nieces. After his 20-year Naval Career, he was the Broker-in-Charge of Holdridge Rentals and Sales in Goose Creek. Jerry was an avid golfer and enjoyed trying out new courses wherever he traveled. Jerry was known to “never meet a stranger” and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm at Carolina Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 31st, 2016. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 11am at Aldersgate United Methodist Church at 1444 Remount Rd., North Charleston, SC.
