Jerry Lee Wessinger

Jerry Lee Wessinger, 66, of Summerville, SC was called home on June 12, 2020.

A native of Summerville, he was a graduate of Summerville High School, where he excelled in baseball and football. Jerry also attended Clemson University, where he played saxophone in the marching band, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Design. Shortly after college, Jerry founded his own architectural firm, and many of his designs became well renowned across the world.

Jerry’s true passions were the Clemson Tigers, being with his dogs, loving his grandchildren, and spending countless hours boating, fishing, and cooking for his daughters and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Wessinger, 3 daughters, Melissa Wessinger Kelley, Erin Wessinger Burton, Cheri Wessinger, and 9 grandchildren, Jarius, Tyriana, Gabbana, Hassan, Caden, Kaylee, Carly, Conner, & Caleb. He is also survived by his sister, Julie Apperson, niece, Maribeth, and nephew, Mark, all of which reside in Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Gwendolyn Wessinger, 1 granddaughter, Jordyn Wessinger Kelley, and his white Labrador, best friend, 4 legged son, Alston.

He will be honored with a visitation and celebration of life on Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 1-3 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
