Joanne F. Frenzel

Joanne Faith Frenzel, age 85 of Summerville, SC entered eternal rest on Monday, February 20, 2023, after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Joanne’s greatest pride came from the importance of family and love of all of those in her life.

Joanne was a stay-at-home mom for many years. As her children got older, she worked for Cooperative Extension teaching cooking classes to low-income families, then worked as a cook for Sacred Heart rectory in Watertown, NY and subsequently at Our Lady of Victory rectory in Floral park, NY. She retired in 1995. She was an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a Columbiette - a women member auxiliary council affiliated with the Knights of Columbus council. Joanne was also a volunteer at South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Fl.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Evelyn Costello, Howard R. George, and her late husband Albert P. Frenzel.

Joanne leaves behind her children William (Meredith) George, Nancy (William) Condon and six granddaughters, Kallista George, Sereenah George, Abrianah George, Merabella George, Elizabeth Condon and Georgia Condon. She is also survived by her sisters Evelyn LaMotta and Toni (Peter) Dattwyler, and several nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to thank Agape Hospice of Summerville and Trident Area on Aging for all their support, care, compassion, and guidance. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joanne’s name can be made to Alzheimers.org or the charity of one’s choice. The family will have a private service and interment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

Joanne left her mark in the world by leading a life of love and kindness, compassion, and grace.
