
John D. "Donnie" Sullivan, Jr., 64, of Moncks Corner died June 30, 2016 after an extended illness. Donnie was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on May 5, 1952 which was his Momma's 23rd birthday. Donnie's life work was in the snacks industry working for local distributors, Frito-Lay and Lance. He loved to fish and enjoyed all things outdoors. He grew up on Sullivan's Island and Mt. Pleasant, graduating from Moultrie High School in 1970. He also attended Bishop England High School and the Baptist College. Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, Rosemary Ward and John D. Sullivan, Sr., and his son John D. "Little Donnie" Sullivan III. He is survived by his children, Chris (Kerry) Sullivan, Steven (Alison) Sullivan, and Lauren (Sarah) Sullivan and his grandchildren, Kasey (Taylor) Corliss, and Prestin, Kaden, and Ethan Sullivan. Donnie is also survived by his siblings, Peggy (Mike) Bull, Maureen (Manning) Bolchoz and David (Angie) Sullivan and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday July 8, 2016 in the chapel of Carolina Funeral Home on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
