John Hamilton

John Andrew Hamilton was born October 4, 1964 in Cleveland, OH to Jean Vayo Hamilton and John David Hamilton in Cleveland, OH. John passed away on September 1, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Melissa Vincent Hamilton, stepfather of Taylor L. Vincent, brother of Amy Whitley(Bill) and David Hamilton, and uncle to Christine and Allison Whitley. John grew up in Durham, NC and most recently lived in North Charleston, SC for the last seven years, and worked as a licensed contractor. He supervised projects including renovation of the historic naval officers quarters which currently houses the South Carolina Strong Program. His memorial service will be held Saturday September 6, 2014 at 11am at SC Strong. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SC Strong, 2510 North Hobson Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.
