Lavenia Alice Cook

Lavenia Alice Cook, 85, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Funeral service for family and friends will be held Saturday, 20 May 2023 at 11 am at Carolina Memorial Funrral Home. Grave site service at Carolina Memorial Gardens for family at Noon.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard L. Cook, and five kids, Cheryl Cook Hood (Bobby), Richard L. Cook Jr (Sharon), Michael Kelley Cook (Beth), Christopher Brian Cook (Dianna) and Patrick James Cook.

Nine grandkids (Jennifer, Emma, Rebecca, Christopher, Ryan, Joseph, Andrew, Richard III, and William) and seven great grandsons (Colin, Declan, Brayden, Rayne, Luke, Ross Jr, and Bennett).

Our Mom/Grandma/Great Grandma was the "super" glue that kept it (us) all together. Always a gift/card for everyone for their birthday and Holiday!

Mom/Grandma/Great Grandma left us, she is at Peace and in a better place. We do not know how much we will miss her, but everyday we know we will think of her and smile, every time. She was the most incredible, giving, loving supportive person.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Richard L. and Lavenia A. Cook Football Memorial Scholarship at The Citadel Brigadier Foundation, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409.
