Loretta Hughes Patrick, age 83, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on January 10, 2026. Loretta served for 3 years as a nurse in the Navy before becoming a stay-at-home mom.
She was born in Mobile, Alabama, to Louis and Edith Hughes on December 11, 1942. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Patrick; infant daughter, Donna; her parents; and multiple siblings.
She is survived by her son, James W. Patrick Jr and daughter-in-law, Connie; her two sisters and two brothers; as well as her best friend, Peggy “George” Waltz.
A celebration of Loretta’s life will be held at a later date.
