Marion was born September 9, 1934, in Lee County, SC to the late George Baker and Sadie Dyson Loveless.
He enjoyed country music, especially Dolly Parton and Conway Twitty. He enjoyed football, Nascar, and at one point was a very avid golfer. He was a deep sea diver in Louisiana where he lived for over 20 years. He also liked watching black and white movies from the 30's. He drove a long distance truck for over 40 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Myrisha Hoover (Lexie) of Cottageville, SC, a brother, James D Romero of James Island, SC, 2 sisters, Helen R Walker (Jay) of James Island, SC and Deborah R Pace (Charles) of Goose Creek, SC, one grandson Lexie E "Bo" Hoover Jr of Cottageville, SC, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cleo Beacham Baker, 2 sons, George Cleon Baker and Terry Lynn Baker, and 2 brothers, Robert Carroll Baker of Mobile, AL and Clyde L Riley Jr of Moncks Corner, SC
