Mary Fannie Alford Johnson

Dacula, GA, formerly of North Charleston, SC Mary Fannie Alford Johnson, age 84, wife of the late Hubert Wesley Johnson went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 9, 2016. Mrs. Johnson was born in Horry County, SC, the daughter of the late Ely Mitchell Alford and Rhoda Rabon Alford. Mary loved cooking and having others enjoy eating, gardening, animals, and her family and friends. Predeceased by: Four brothers, W.J. Alford, Hubert Alford, T.E. Alford, and Elbert “Shorty” Alford; two sisters, Emma Rabon and Eula Jane Best; one daughter, Genevie; and one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Lynn. Survivors are: Two sons, Robert Mitchell Johnson (Laura) of Summerville, SC and Felton Johnson (Sidney) of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Louvina (Lou) Johnson of Dacula, GA. Five grandchildren, Heather Ann, April Marie (Russell), Fletcher Lee, Ashley Maegan (Mike), and Brittany Nicole (Zachery). Seven great-grandchildren, Kodah Dwayne, Sadie Marie, Annabelle Luna, Catherine Elizabeth, McKinley Grace, Bradley Hubert and Eleanor Dorothy. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 16, 2016 at Carolina Memorial, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Burial will follow also at Carolina Memorial. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
