
Mary Louise Austell Moss, 90 died peace fully on April 28th 2015. After waiting 17 years, she has joined her beloved husband, Ray in heaven. Born in Cherokee Falls, S.C. and raised in Earl, N.C. ,she was the second child and only daughter of Bostick and Gertrude Austell. When World War II was over she married William Ray Moss a returning army soldier. Together they moved to Charleston, S.C. where they raised their only daughter Mary Eugenia Moss Reeves. Her two grandchildren Eric David Reeves and Elliott Richard Reeves were the loves of her life. She was fortunate to have one great grandchild Mae Legendre Reeves. She graduated from Number Three High School in Shelby N.C. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and was one semester from earning a business degree but decided to go to work in Charlotte, N.C. After she was married she worked at West Virginia Pulp & Paper in Charleston, S.C. and later at the Charleston Naval Shipyard . She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Rebecca Motte Chapter, the Women’s Club of Charleston, the Garden Club of Charleston and the Northbridge Garden Club. She was an active member of Charleston Heights Baptist Church and later Pinecrest Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Eugenia Moss Reeves, her son in law Richard H. Reeves, her two grandsons Eric David Reeves {and his wife Amanda Gulotta Reeves}, Elliott Richard Reeves and great grandchild Mae Legendre Reeves. The Family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm Friday May 1st2015 at Carolina Memorial Gardens Chapel. The funeral will be held Saturday May 2nd at 2pm also at Carolina Memorial Gardens Chapel.
