Nancy Ruth Brown

She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Charles Alden Brown; her stepmother, Dorothy Baker Feld; one brother, David Warren Feld and sister-in-law, Irene Feld; and son-in-law, Michael Stephen Davidson.

Nancy is survived by her children Cheryl (Scott) Johnson, Pam (Carl) Schinner, Chuck (Dianna) Brown, Diane Brown, and David (Anna) Brown. Also survived by her grandchildren Carl, Alison, Ashley, Emily, Caroline, Matt, Eric, Evan, Leah, Logan, and great-granddaughters Adeline and Charlotte and one brother, Donald Newhall Feld.

Nancy was a homemaker for many years taking care of her five children. After the youngest, David was older, she worked at Rock Physical Therapy as a therapy assistant. After Charlie’s retirement, they spent time in Windham, ME; Lewes, DE; New Port Richey, Florida; and the last five years in the Beaufort area of South Carolina.

Nancy loved to bowl and play golf. She enjoyed bike riding, playing bocce ball, going to movies and dinner with friends. She was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors. She was a member of Ashton Baptist Church (MD) for over 30 years and enjoyed singing with the choir for many years. She also liked to spend time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. Nancy is known and loved for her service to others; always willing to help neighbors and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
