

Born on October 3, 1934 in Charleston, SC, Bing was the son of the late Martin Jacob Crosby and Ada Mae Kinard.
Bing graduated from Chicora High School in 1952 and worked for Colonial Stores until September 1955. He began work for WestVaco in September 1955 in the Quality Control Lab, transferring to Product Development in 1962. Bing earned a BS Degree in Pulp and Paper Engineering from International Correspondence School in 1974 and was promoted to Assistant Engineer in Product Development. He accomplished a total of 42 ½ years of service to WestVaco, retiring in November of 1996.
Bing enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His hobbies included fishing and hunting and was an avid golfer. He was a member of Yeaman’s Hall Summer Golf Club, Crowfield Country Club and Red Bank Golf Club.
In addition to his loving wife, Jo Ann, Bing is survived by sons, Martin G. Crosby and Brad K. Crosby (Janet); grandchildren, Bradley K. Crosby, Jr. (Michelle), Aleisha M. Crosby Partridge, Elizabeth A. Crosby and William M. Crosby; great grandchildren, Aidan Partridge, Olin Partridge, Caedmon Crosby and Isabelle Crosby and sister Erline Crosby.
In addition to his parents, Bing was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Wiggins, Margaret Martin and June Scott.
A Life Well Celebrated service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremation located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. 843-797-2222.
Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park.
