Her beloved husband, Rev. Richard D. Akers Sr. and daughter Lisa Akers Stein predeceased her. Surviving children are Richard D. Akers Jr. and wife Becky of Spring, TX, and Kathryn Akers Prouse and husband James of Goose Creek, SC. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. And, dear friends Henry and Dora Orosco of Trinity, TX and Shirley Cox Stark of Spring, TX.
Patricia was a Navy Lieutenant JG nurse during the Korean War. She was a founding member of the DAR Twin Creeks chapter in Spring, TX. and a passionate Genealogy researcher helping many friends learn of their ancestry. Patricia volunteered at Houston Memorial Hospital in Spring, TX. She had been a member of the Montogomery United Methodist Church, Montgomery, TX, and Klein United Methodist, Spring, TX.
Patricia moved to South Carolina to live with her daughter and family.
