Patty graduated from Mount Pleasant high school in Wilmington, Delaware and was employed by Southern Bell in Charleston and Atlanta until they became BellSouth. Her strong Christian faith helped her through her 18-year battle with multiple sclerosis.
Patty was a loving, kind and free spirit, who was completely devoted to her family. She was an avid reader and lover of books. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, board games, and loved the ocean. She was a lifelong cat person, who always enjoyed their company. Patty’s boundless generosity, humor, positivity, and lifelong love of learning were exceeded only by her unwavering honesty, empathetic communication style, quick wit, resilience, and love for her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband David Moses, her son John (Molly) Moses and daughter Marie Moses, and her grandchildren Amelia and Noah Moses; her father Robert (Judy) Rainear, her brother James (Melissa) Rainear, and her sister Jennifer (Travis) Kleckley; and nieces Emma and Clarissa Rainear.
The family would like to thank Agape Care Hospice of South Carolina for their professional and kind care. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Carnation Foundation (Hospice).
A private Celebration of Life service and internment will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, SC.
