On April 9th, 2022, Patricia Emerson Stanley of Goose Creek passed away at the age of 56. Although she was an only child, Trish had a big, loving family and greatly enjoyed spending time with the extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins that knew and loved her. Committed to a life of community service, she worked tirelessly as an emergency dispatcher for Charleston County. For over 25 years, she was there for those in need when they dialed 911 in an emergency. Off the phones, her coworkers could always count on her for well placed sarcasm and a good laugh to keep spirits up.
She loved books, coffee, dogs, and rock music. A bibliophile through and through, when she wasn’t reading she was enjoying time with her grandsons, speculating about when a granddaughter might arrive. She frequently traveled to visit people or to attend concerts – usually with her coffee and dog in tow. She was a vivacious spirit who enjoyed life, sought after great music, and loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and those whose lives she touched.
She is predeceased by her partner-in-crime, Carolyn Sanders. She is survived by her parents: Miguel and Anna Emerson of Goose Creek; her children: Kathryn (William) Roberts of Blythewood, Elizabeth Register of Olympia, WA, Kaleb (Margaret) Stanley of North Charleston; her grandsons: Donovan, Gabriel, Cody, Henry; her beloved dog, Rex; and her extended families.
A Visitation will held Friday April 22, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremations, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow from 11:00am to 12:00pm in the Chapel.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.carolinamemorial.com for her family.
