Rebecca Ann Heaton

Rebecca Ann Sanders Heaton, age 84, of Goose Creek, South Carolina passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at her home. Rebecca was born July 2, 1937 to the late Marshall and Lena Baker Sanders. She was the wife of the late William Barry Heaton. She was born in North Charleston, SC and graduated from North Charleston High School and attended nursing school.

Rebecca was a homemaker before she went to work as a nurse and a florist. She also served in her church in many roles.

She is survived by her sons William "Greg" Heaton and his wife Elisabeth "Lisa" Heaton of West Ashley, Steven B. Heaton of Conway and daughter Jennifer L. Heaton Johansen, special niece and caregiver Elizabeth Holmes, of the home. She also has 2 granddaughters Stefanie and Stacy Johansen of Goose Creek and one step grandson Zachary Pace of Charleston. A host of cousins, nieces and nephews who she loved dearly, and her beloved poodle Sassie.

Visitation will be Monday, July 12 from 12 to 2 pm at Northwoods Baptist Church Chapel, 2200 Greenridge Road, North Charleston with a Life Well Celebrated Services will be held at 2 PM in the church chapel. Burial will be at 3 pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Reverend Sonny Holmes and Reverend Curt Bradford will be officiating.
