

Robert A. Dumont, 87, of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest, Monday, February 29, 2016. Robert was born on March 20, 1928 in Berlin, New Hampshire. He served two years in the United States Navy and twenty-one years in the United States Army. He served during World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam. He retired from the military in 1969. He moved to Charleston in 1981 and enjoyed his retirement years playing golf. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Charleen Dumont, his children Derek Dumont (Kelli) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Michael Dumont (Terri) of Plano, TX; Deborah Lane of Albuquerque, NM; and Desiree Norman of Plano, TX; and his five grandchildren; Brady and Colby Dumont of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Keshia Keller, James Lane, Daniella Norman and three great grandchildren. Robert and Charleen are members of St. Thomas Apostle Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Thursday March 3, 2016 2-3 pm at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, graveside services will be held at 3 pm at Carolina Memorial Park.
