Bob was born April 26, 1939 to the late John and Mabel Thomson in Hinton, WV.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Cumbee Thomson; his children, Andrew Thomson (Darlene), Lisa Thomson and Stacey Handegan (Brett). His seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His sister; Marion Pritchard (Danny).
He is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Miller.
Bob retired from the US Navy and the US Postal Service. He graduated from the Citadel with majors in Criminal Justice and psychology. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406 from 11:30am to 12:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the chapel. The Burial will follow at 1:30pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
