Robin Lambert Huggins was peacefully welcomed into the arms of Jesus on December 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. Robin was born on May 26, 1966, to Pressley Lambert and Marjorie Britt Lambert in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a member of Midland Park Baptist Church and graduated from R.B. Stall High School in 1984. Robin went on to earn her licensed practical nursing certification and worked in private practice, during which time she met her husband, Russell L. Huggins, Jr., whom she married in 1992. Robin and Russell had two children, Erin and Joshua. Robin’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and a wife. She was incredibly devoted to her children and attended countless band concerts, dance recitals, and academic events. She was the first to plan a party to celebrate a birthday or graduation. Robin was also extremely proud of her family’s military service, most notably her husband’s United States Air Force service, and supported him tirelessly throughout both his military and civilian careers. In her own career, Robin worked at Northwood Academy as a teaching assistant, where she was known as “Mrs. Huggy,” and at Summerville High School as a special needs classroom assistant. Robin deeply loved caring for children and treated her students as if they were her own. She left a lasting impact on many.
Robin loved travelling with her husband, crafting with friends, watching Clemson football, and going to the beach. She loved all animals, especially her beloved dachshunds. Above all, Robin was an exceptional woman of faith and was deeply devoted to serving the Lord through service toward others, even while enduring her own health struggles.
Robin is survived by her husband of 33 years, Russell L. Huggins, Jr; her children, Erin Elizabeth Huggins and Joshua Lambert Huggins; her sisters Elizabeth “Betty” Morrison (Terry Morrison) and Joyce Branch (Jerry Branch); numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and countless friends. Robin is preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Britt Lambert; her father, Pressley Lambert; her sister, Sandra Powers (Lonnie Powers); her nephew, Chase Alexander Ray; her mother and father-in-law Sharon Huggins and Russell L. Huggins, Sr.; and many beloved pets.
A visitation will be held on January 3, 2026, from 10am-12pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home at 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC, with a chapel service to follow starting at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charleston Animal Society or the Grand Strand Down Syndrome Society.
