Sandra was born on August 14, 1943 in Charleston SC to the late Marguerite and Harold Moorman, Sr. Sandra lived life to the fullest. She loved hard work, nature, boating and being around those she loved.
Sandra was the rock of her family. Although she was the youngest, she took care of her parents and siblings in their final stages of life. She married her high school sweetheart, Jackie, and was a devoted wife and caregiver throughout their 53 years of marriage. Sandra was a second mother to her nieces and nephews and had a special relationship with each of them. She was also fortunate to have many special life-long friends.
Sandra was a wonderful mother and adoring grandmother. Mimi never missed a birthday, game or event and she never failed to make her grandchildren feel special. Mimi’s house was a special place where there would always be cookies, chips and homemade sweet tea, even if there was no Wi-Fi.
To say that Sandra was special would be an understatement. She was truly a bright light and beautiful soul in this world. Her smile always lit up a room. Sandra had the heart of a servant and never failed to put others before herself. She was the person everyone sought for advice or when they needed to feel heard and loved. She never met a stranger and was kind to everyone. She will be forever missed.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Ready and her siblings, Adger Moorman, Harold Moorman Jr, and Norma Gebo, as well as her nephew, Kenny Moorman.
She is survived by her children, Denise MacKendrick and Joby Ready (Evelyn), her grandchildren, Gray MacKendrick, Brenna MacKendrick, Jack Ready and Davis Ready. She also leaves behind many dear friends and beloved nieces and nephews.
