Shirley J. Granger, 76, of North Charleston, passed away on Saturday October 12, 2024, in a Kissimmee, FL hospital surrounded by friends after a tragic accident. She was born November 10, 1947, in Charleston, SC to the late Herman Leon and Bessie Mae Johnson.

Shirley was a homemaker who loved to care for, cook for, and be there for all her family and friends. She went out of work as a Loan Officer in 1983.

She was married for 50 years to the love of her life James “Barry” Granger who preceded her in death on August 9, 2018. She is survived by her son Jimmy (Tonya) Granger of North Charleston, a daughter Lori (Jeff) Barwick-Black of North Charleston, six grandchildren Derrick (Hailey) Granger, Taylor (Blake) Brown, Drake (Kayla) Granger, Abigail (Abby) Barwick, Ashlynn (Jeffrey) Stanton Jr and Madison Barwick plus three great-grands, Harper Vickers, Easton Brown, and Jameson Granger. She also leaves behind a brother Clifford (Carolyn), a Brother-in-Law Larry Joe (Connie), Sister-in Law Paula (Jerry) Amerson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, with visitation starting at 11:00am and funeral services at 12:00pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, with a graveside service to follow.
