Sidney E Son

Sidney Eugene Son, 69, of Charleston, SC died Saturday, April 15, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Jennie Moody Son and four children Dina Boone (Bruce), Sidney Eugene Son, Jr., Karrie Allen (Clayton), Robert Matthew Son (Amy) and four grandchildren, Jennie Boone, AJ Allen, Ryan Son and Joshua Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents: James Simeon Son and Dovie Steadman Son and brother: James Albert Son. Sid was an independent paint contractor and did repairs on homes and businesses. He and his wife owned House of Paints on James Island for twenty-seven years. He loved family get togethers and his truck. Sid loved sports, especially football, college basketball, and golf. He coached Little League Baseball when his children were younger. In his younger years he also loved to fish and hunt. He was a 3rd degree Mason. In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren he leaves three sisters, Ruth Ellen Son Wilson, Ethel Elizabeth Son Brewer, and Wanda Frances Son Pruitt and many nieces and nephews.
