Our sweet Ana Victoria has made her transition into Heaven, where she is eagerly greeted by her late beloved parents, her sisters Margo and Elisa, husband Rene, daughter Anabella, son Paco, and her grandson John Paul.
Ana Victoria was born on March 20, 1927, in El Salvador to her parents, Antonia Ortiz and Manuel Albanes. At a young age, her family moved to Guatemala where she spent most of her life. While living in Guatemala, she met the love of her life, Rene Armando. The two spent 70 beautiful years married and together raised three children: Paco, Anabella, and Ileana. In 1976, after her children had grown up, Ana made the brave decision to move from her home in Guatemala to join her daughter in Los Angeles, California. After years of hard work, Ana was able to raise enough money to bring her family over to the U.S. Ana’s family only grew greatly after their move to the states.
As a family, Ana helped raise eight grandchildren: Heydi, Jerry, Junior, Nancy, John Paul, Chris, Yvonne and Carla. At the time of her passing Ana had fourteen great grandchildren: Rafael, Anastasia, Destiny, Alyssa, Enrique, Jacob, Faith, Ava, Lehlani, Bella, Violet, Juliet, Matthias, Vincente, and one Great Great granddaughter, Ayla.
Family was an incredibly important part of Ana’s life. Her home was constantly filled with people who loved her so dearly. Ana’s heart was open to all; she truly made everyone she met feel like her family. Her lovable spirit was felt by so many, family and strangers alike. Although she was extremely independent and headstrong, she was deeply cared for by her daughters, grandchildren, Grace, and Alvaro. They made sure she was taken care of and felt loved above all else. Her loss runs far and wide.
Ana was an amazing cook, and her food united so many people. A family favorite was her Guatemalan tamales, which took days of preparation. Though they were time-consuming to make she still managed to make plenty to give away. Her home was always a hive for every holiday as she loved to decorate and host family parties. Her home was a revolving door of all the people that she loved and that loved her. She was a giver at heart - She shared her food, stories, love, laughs anytime she had the opportunity.
Ana Victoria touched the hearts of countless people during her time here on Earth. She was resilient, selfless, kind, and incredibly witty. She carried herself with class and grace through every situation. She was an absolute pillar of strength in her family. Many think of her as the glue that stuck the family together. Her memory is one of a compassionate, great matriarch.
Ana’s favorite animal was the elephant. Throughout many cultures, Elephants symbolize wisdom, strength and leadership. Ana enriched her North Hollywood home with an abundance of elephants. Her energy was that of a great, majestic, peaceful elephant. She is remembered in this way: loving, strong, kind, and loyal.
She is remembered by her sisters Hilda and Lita, daughter Ileana, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and everyone who had the pleasure of connecting with her.
