Barbara was a wonderful person. I worked with her in Mental Health for a number of years. She was always professional, and was always caring. She put others needs first. She went the "extra mile" in everything she did. A hard worker.  She also appeared to enjoy life,  and she always added a smile, and some fun, to every special event at the Clinic. She loved her work, and being able to serve others. Barbara always provided support and help to staff, wherever they needed it. And most especially, Barbara was always KIND.  I will especially remember her for that. I will never forget her.

Just thinking of you, Barbara!  I know you are enjoying your family up there and having fun with my mom and Nancy M.!  I also know that ya'll got front row seats to watch your grandkids! XOXOXO

Goodbye my dear friend.  I miss you terribly. You are the kindest, most generous person I've ever known and I feel so fortunate to have been a lifelong friend. I'll always remember those wonderful times we shared throughout nursing school and beyond. How I miss those long phone conversations we had about families and friends.

Dear dear Barb,

There are many things I want to say but it would take pages and pages to write down all of them.  To summarize, in a few words - I am already missing you terribly.   I better not cry every time I miss you cause that would cause unstoppable tears . Instead I think of you with your parents and relatives happily enjoying the company of  Jesus, Mother Mary, all the angels and saints .  You’ll always be in my heart and prayer. Barbara was such a  amazing women and friend.  We became close when we volunteered together  at church counting the money from the donations.  She was the most caring and loving person.
She had such a beautiful smile and spirit.
I was to blessed to call her my friend and cherish the time we where together.  She will be missed but her spirit will live on!

Barb moved to the US when she was very young, so I didn't get to see her very often over the years. 
I last saw her at Beth"s baby shower! Now that was a long time ago!  Barb very graciously drove us all around the touristy places in LA that I had never seen. We had a grand time.

I didn’t know Barbara long or as well as some of the parishioners. But,  what I do remember is seeing her volunteering and helping others. She always did  it with a smile on her face.  She was a strong presence in the church community.  May she Rest In Peace.

 

I was blessed to serve beside Barbara in many capacities at St. Francis Xavier. She was a kind, generous soul who will be missed dearly. 

I worked with Barbara for about 20 years.  Barbara was a great Supervisor and Co-Worker.  She cared and concern herself with her patients and co-workers alike.  We could always count on Barbara whatever situation came up, good or rough.  Barbara was far more than a Supervisor and Co-Worker she was my great and wonderful friend.  
Barbara always made Holidays and special occasions a celebration.  Even rainy days were a cause to celebrate, she would treat us all to her fabulous homemade Turkey Noodle Soup and Carrot Cake. She kept us safe and dry so we did not have to  go out in heavy dangerous rainy weather. This also did so much for our moral and bringing us all together in peace and harmony. Barbara was so much more, she was a great and wonderful friend.  
My very dear, wonderful generous and loving friend you are loved and so sorely missed.  God now has a very beautiful caring and loving Angel in Heaven. God Bless

Barbara was a long time veteran of our volunteer sandwich making program (for the homeless of Burbank) at St. Francis Xavier.  She was with us almost every month for the past ten years.  We will miss her immensely.  What a lovely soul!

Barbara was truly a perfect example of love and charity.  Getting to know Barbara, I realized the great work she did for others, always in her quiet and humble way.  Working with her at Christmas Boutiques for MAC, I loved her humor, which was very appreciated on those long days of volunteering. She would make me laugh, just when we needed it.   She talked about her family with love, and especially about her grandchildren. Her family was very important to her. Whenever I sent out a request for needed supplies for MAC, Barbara always responded.  Sometimes I didn’t see her leave the items on my porch, but I always recognized her neatly, packaged boxes filled with exactly what we asked for.  I so admired Barbara.  She was such a special person.  I will greatly miss her.  Cathy Martinez

I will miss Barbara’s Vibe. Very few people have the loving and kind energy that Barabara brought into a room. I am so blessed to have had her in my life since I was a small girl. I am so grateful  my mom had such a good friend. I am glad my  daughter got to know her as well.  Barbara always had great words and great actions. I have missed her laugh and our conversations just due to covid. There is no specific moment I can think of to share, because all of my Barbara moments were genuinely  lovely. can’t wait to meet you again on the other side Barbara. I will miss you. Love Yolanda 

Barbara's kind heart and smiling face will never leave my memory.  We have such fond memories from childhood to now.  I can just see her, along with BOTH Nancys, having a drink and watching over us! I'm sure that my dad is having a cocktail with them, as well, and guiding Bart along the way.

To Barbara’s loving family 

I have had the privilege of knowing Barbara for some years thru her years of true loving friendship with my sister in-law Lupe Loya.

In those years, I knew she was a truly special warm-hearted and caring woman, she was so kind and always had time for us when we gathered to play cards in her home by cooking for us desert included.  We always had an awesome great time playing and just girl talk! She was genuine and I will miss her beautiful soul…RIP 🙏🏻♥️Tillie Acosta
