Born July 22, 1941 in Geneva, IL; passed away July 9, 2013, in California, at the age of 71. Bernard was a resident of Sylmar, he enjoyed auto racing, fishing, and was actively involved with his church and worked as a Painter/Home Maintenance.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Crosby) Steffen; daughters, Jennie (Steffen) Eshbach (spouse Jon Eshbach), Bernardine Steffen (spouse Riccardo Spadaccini), Kathy (Steffen) Castillo (spouse Enrique Castillo), and Vickie Steffen Tamura (spouse David Tamura); grandchildren, John M. Steffen, Robert W. Steffen (spouse Christina Steffen), Kristy Steffen, Nicole Rounds, Nikolas Spadaccini, Cassandra Castillo, Megan Castillo, Enrique Castillo, Ashley Castillo, and Rebecca Castillo; great grandson, Cayden Steffen; siblings, Mike Steffen, Allen Steffen, James Steffen and Margaret (Steffen) Larson; and many nieces and nephews.
