David left the earth quietly and without pain on 11/1/12. He had a head injury while working in the yard on October 22nd and then bounced right back in to his routine of driving, cooking and shopping for himself. He then unexpectedly had a massive stroke that thank God took him quickly. He was happy every day of his life even when times were tough. David survived the great depression by picking fruit with his family from the LA basin to the Central Valley. During WW2 David worked at a flare factory and in 1953 he attended barber school. He worked all over the San Fernando Valley in the booming barber business and at one point even owned his own barber shop. In the early 60’s He traveled Europe and went to Jerusalem to walk in the same places that Jesus walked. He was very proud of making that pilgrimage.
David was a very faithful man and his motto was “Never deny God.” David was a caring and kind man and helped many people during his 94 years. He was predeceased by his wife Joan in 98 and his son Bill march of this year. He is survived by his Granddaughter Maria Coronado and his loving siblings Aurora Rini, Mercy Ramirez, Martha Nelson, Virginia Anguino, Tilly Gonzalez, Joel Rimerez, Ruben Ramirez, Danial Coronado, and Elias Coronado. David’s gentle loving spirit will live on in all of us. Living a happy life is a choice. David set a great example of creating happiness daily. We will all miss him.
Services will be held at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Wed November 7th at 7pm and Thursday Nov 8th at 9am in the chapel.
