Dorothy Rita Uhlemann

Dorothy was born in Woodside, New York in 1932, the oldest child of Albert & Rose Gerhardt. She was also the oldest granddaughter of Joseph & Concetta DiResto and Grace & Arthur Gerhardt. She grew up in the Rockaways, and attended Far Rockaway High School. After high school, she became an insurance broker. She married Ernest Uhlemann in 1957, and moved to Los Angeles in 1959 working for Flying Tigers at Burbank Airport. After several years of working at Flying Tigers, she worked for a Temporary Theatrical Agency servicing The Entrainment Industry. She was employed permanently at Paramount Pictures working in the legal department. Later she applied for a Job working for Frank Sinatra. After a few years, she became his Executive Assistant for the next 32 years, traveling around the world with him.

Dorothy is survived by her sister Elaine, husband bobby and nephew Robert Murello of Henderson, Nevada; as well as her brother Arthur Gerhardt, wife Mary, and nieces, Donna, Patricia, Geralyn, and nephew Arthur Jr. and 6 great nieces and nephews of Long Island, New York.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Mortuary, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601 from 4PM to 8PM. A Catholic Mass will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 10800 Moorpark Street, North Hollywood, CA 91602,
