Elise Maria Elwell

Born on July 27, 1965, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA, Elise was a lifelong Valley Girl. Raised in Studio City, her roots ran deep in the San Fernando Valley community she cherished. Her quick wit, warm smile, and characteristic California charm defined her spirit and endeared her to all who knew her.

Elise was a devoted mother and a proud resident of the Valley. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. She found great peace and happiness in the simple things, especially long days spent by the ocean and sharing her home and heart with her beloved animals.

She is preceded in death by her father, Voitto Korpinen; her beloved husband, Brian Elwell; and her son, Kristopher.

Elise is survived by her loving son, Travis; her stepdaughter, Tara; her mother, Eila Korpinen; and her brother, Errol Korpinen. Her memory will be treasured as a source of light, strength, and endless love by her entire family and a host of friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Elise’s life will be held at Pierce Brothers Valhalla in North Hollywood, CA, on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
