

IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR MOTHER ELOISE SIDNEY
On behalf of our family, I would like to begin by thanking everyone that is here today and to our family and friends joining us on video.
Thank you for your outpouring of sympathy, love, kindness and prayers on the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and Aunt Eloise. Your condolences have been comforting to out family during this difficult time.
Eloise was born Eloise Pert on March 18, 1933 in Prattville, Manchester, Jamaica, West Indies. On Tuesday March 8th 2022, Eloise departed this life peacefully at home surround by her family. She was the 8th child of Wilbert and Rachel Pert. She grew up in a large family of (6) brothers and (5) sisters.
Our mother was brought up in a home where good manners, respect, and education were among strong values. Eloise spent her earlier lie in Jamaica attending Prattville Elementary. She was popular in school and recognized for her intelligence and her beauty. She was Highly respected by teachers and classmates.
After completing Prattville Elementary School, Eloise moved to Kingston, Jamaica where she enrolled in Nursing School and successfully completed the required courses and training in Jamaican Nursing Standards. Due to her exceptional grades, she was offered a job at University Hospital in Jamaica which made her parents very proud.
While still living in Jamaica, Eloise had (3) children, Hyacinth, Beverly, and Lloyd Medley.
After her many accomplishments including dressmaker, Eloise decided to expand he skills overseas buy migrating to Toronto, Canada where she married her husband Rev. George H. Cutting. To that union Eloise had daughter Dorothy and her son Lester.
Eloise continued her nursing career at Western Hospital as well as Baycrest Hospital in Toronto for several years, until moving to California where she then worked as a private duty nurse in Beverly Hills. Eloise later remarried her love Leman Sidney. They were married 30 years before he preceded her in death.
Our mother was an extremely kind, giving and loving woman who put others before herself. She was hard-working and very seldom complained, even during her illness. She was a woman of strength who supported her family and friends near and far to the best of her abilities.
Eloise was a loving and thoughtful mother, grandmother, sister and friend and most of all she was a dedicated Christian that loved and worshiped our heavenly father from a young girl in Jamaica until her time ended here on earth.
Eloise’s favorite past time was watching her beloved lakers during basketball season. She was quite knowledgeable on the game and the various players even if they did not play on the Lsakers team. She had her own opinion of players that were not her favorite and would be coaching as she was watching.
Eloise also got excited whenever there was breaking news about those crazy police pursuits around the city. She would call her kids and make sure they were watching. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing her Jamaican dishes for her children and grandkids and for friends.
Eloise was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Leman Sidney; her parents, (3) brothers, (2) sisters.
She is survived by her sister Hilda Case of Toronto, Canada, Brothers Alexander Pert (Ena) of Pembrooke Pines, Florida; Gerald Peart (Patsy) of Richmond, Va.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters; Hyacinth, Beverly (Johnny Lee0, Dorothy (Pat); her sons; Lloyd, Lester (Sharon).
Grandkids: Andrea, Deon, Dougles, Jordan, Jordan, Jovain, Leandre, Emmuaella, Evangeline, and Shaelee Grace
Great Grandkids: Tashara, Dante, Riddle, Lian, Aileena, Eveline, Travis, Baby Ava
Great Great Grankid: Anayah
She also leaves to mourn her death her beloved step-Daughters Lillian (Mario, Sonia, Eloisa (James), Yvonne, and Marcia, Kysean, Jawana, AJ, and Jancey. Her nieces and nephews in Canada; England, Jamaica, W.I, New York, Florida and an abundance for friends.
