Florencia Manansala Guevarra

Florencia Guevarra was 92 years old when peacefully passed away on June 17, 2021 at the comfort of her home in Panorama City California surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with Heart Disease and Diabetes.

Florencia was born on November 12, 1928 to Narcisso and Feliciana at Masantol Pampanga. Florencia came to the U.S. and sought to have a better life for herself and her family.

Florencia met her husband, Ambrosio Guevarra in 1943. They were married on December 1944 and had 11 children: Aurora, Brigitta, Esmeralda, Nelson, Herminia, Lorenza, Floram, Mercedes, Consolacion, Arnold and Carlito. She moved to Hawaii in 1992 and resided there for one year and then she moved to California the following year. She worked as a caregiver for several years to support her family in the Philippines. She was diagnosed with breast cancer on 1998. She moved to Delano on 2002 to live with her daughter Floram. Florencia is a cancer survivor and a devoted mom and grandmother.

Florencia is appreciative, compassionate, humble, generous, genuine, beautiful, strong, independent, hardworking, modest, and loving. She loves cooking, dining out, family gatherings, and serving others. She dedicated her life to her family. She excelled at teaching her kids and grandkids the importance of family values and unity. She provided for her kids and put several of her grandkids to school until her dying days. She supported them through their hardships, triumphs, and their passion, whether that was sending her grand kids to school, financial and personal difficulties, she was there for her family and friends. She touched and improved the lives of others and made them feel special without asking for anything in return.

Florencia joins her husband Ambrosio, daughter Brigida, son Nelson, and brother Manuel, brother Fernando, sister Rosario in heaven. She is survived by her sisters, Celerina, Hilaria, Magdalena, Teresita, and Estelita. Her kids Aurora, Esmeralda, Herminia, Lorenza, Floram, Mercedes, Consalation, Arnold and Carlito. 27 grandkids and 62 great grandkids.

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Pierce Brothers Valhalla. There will be a viewing and a funeral service on July 7, 2021 at 5-8pm and July 8, 2021 at 10 to 11 am at 10621 Victory Blvd. North Hollywood California, 91606.
