Meta David

A funeral service for Meta will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606, followed by a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.

Meta Maria Jacob David August 19, 1927 - March 2, 2024 Meta was born in Bremen, Germany. She lived in Bremen until she came to the United States at the age of 24. She lived in Arizona the first couple of years she was in the United States and then moved to the Los Angeles area to take a position as a nanny. Only a few short weeks later, she met the love off her life, Egon. Meta moved onto working in the garment district while she and Egon dated. After Several years of waiting for a proposal, she went back to Germany. Egon and his broken heart chased after her and brought her back to the US. Meta and Egon married in 1961 and their one and only beloved daughter, Lisa, came along 4 years later. Lisa was their pride and joy and Meta devoted her life to being a full time mother and wife taking the very best care of both Lisa and Egon. She took her roll as a domestic engineer very seriously. She was up, dressed in what most would consider their Sunday best, had coffee made, saw Egon off to work and walked Lisa to school every day. She would return home, make sure everything was in its place and move on to making sure her family had dinner on the table at 7:00 p.m. After losing Egon in 1996 she moved to Las Vegas for a couple years to be with Lisa until they both moved back to Los Angeles for the remainder of her life. Meta filled her time after losing Egon with reinserting herself into Lisa’s life and once again making Lisa Meta’s priority. She spent lots of time with those she called her family and loved telling anyone that would listen all about her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She couldn’t have been more proud of them.
