Miron Averbukh, 87, of Marina del Rey, California, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025.
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, on August 13, 1938, Miron lived a life of resilience, dedication, and love. In 1979, he courageously immigrated to the United States with his wife, Lilia, and their four-year-old daughter, Julia, to begin a new chapter in Chicago, Illinois.
Miron had a lifelong passion for men’s fashion. A master tailor with a rare eye for detail, Miron brought his artistry to Oxxford Clothes, the renowned maker of handmade luxury men’s suits. His craftsmanship was recognized at the highest levels, including the honor of creating custom suits for President Bill Clinton. He then proudly owned and operated a tailor shop for more than 40 years, where he specialized in alterations and fine men’s suits. His work was not only his livelihood but also his art and his joy.
In 2020, Miron fulfilled his lifelong dream of moving to California, where he spent his final years living by the ocean in Marina del Rey, surrounded by the beauty he always longed for and being close to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lilia, his devoted daughter, Julia Krystle, and his cherished grandchildren, Jordan Kingston and Ariel Skye. His legacy of love, strength, perseverance and devotion to family will live on in their hearts forever.
