Oh Sandy, my Sandy. You have left us for a heaven everyone has longed to go to.
You must be so very content. You fought quite a courageous battle, your whole life. First having down syndrome and then this dreadful Alzheimers, finally winning overall.
You had an amazing life. Going to movies, dinners, shopping with family and friends and not to mention, traveling the world with Mom and Poppy and loving every minute. People you touched along the way, will always remember your laugh and bright smile. You leave behind a loving group of friends, family and caregivers. Leaving behind including: Mom (Dolores), Poppy (Steve), Sister (Dolores), Her Husband (Art), Niece (Brionna), and Godson (Arthur) and His Wife (Tia); Sister (Susan), Her Husband (John), Nephew (Skyler) and His Wife (Kelsey) and Great Niece and Nephew (Kenzie and Kolton) and Nephew (Johnny) and His Wife (Lupita) and Great Niece (Sophia); Brother (Barry), Nephew (Jesse) and Chelsea and Nephew (Anthony) and Brother (Zach) and His Wife (Yessi). Plus our extended family, Sandra Blackwell and her son Aaron, Sandy’s fiance, as well as her caregivers, Cesar, Vivian, Mary, Joy and Moreen. Thank you also to everyone Sandy worked with at the Thousand Oaks Library during the 15 years she worked there as well as everyone who helped her along her journey in the Path-Point Program. My heart aches for the last moments of me holding you in my arms. Now God has you and as you have always said before, I will always be in your heart. Love Mom.
.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 7800 Vineland Ave, Sun Valley, CA 91352.
