

Andrew David Solov age 65 of Tamarac unexpectedly passed away on May 21, 2026. Beloved Brother of Bruce H. Solov and Peter J. Solov; Cherished uncle of Elyssa Solov, Benjamin Solov & Matthew Solov. Loved brother-in-law of Crystal Solov (nee Risetter) and Sandy Brands (nee Gangloff). Predeceased by his loving wife Janet Moore (nee Gangloff), parents Edwin Solov & Joan Solov (nee Blum) and sister-in-law, Andrea Solov (nee Abkowitz). Andrew leaves behind many dear family and friends.
Andrew was born January 17, 1961, in Forest Hills, NY and was raised in Towson, MD and Wayne, NJ. He was a 1979 graduate of Wayne Valley High School in Wayne, NJ. He was one of the managers for the Wayne Valley H.S. Varsity Football Team. His solid knowledge of geography played an integral role where he worked as a Customer Service Agent for Greyhound Lines in New York, NY for over 10 years, before relocating to Tamarac, FL with our mother in 2004.
He also worked for many different stadium concessions companies, most notably Harry M. Stevens, Inc., sports and event venues including Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, Giants Stadium & the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, NJ and Yankee Stadium in Bronx, NY. He worked for Loan Depot Park (formerly Marlins Park) and Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL, Amerant Bank Arena (formerly the BB&T Center) in Sunrise, FL as well as the Florida Panthers Professional Ice Hockey Team, as an usher/ licensed Security Guard where he subsequently received two Stanley Cup Rings for the two most recent Florida Panthers’ Stanley Cup Championships. His resume is demonstrative of his unrelenting love for sports. He also had a zeal for trivia, very often correctly answering many of the questions from the TV game show Jeopardy.
He is remembered with a Memorial Service at Star of David Memorial Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, on May 26, 2026, at 2:45 pm.
