Barbara Joyce Simonetti, of Tamarac, Fla, has left her Earthly body.

A memorial service for immediate friends and family will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 1:30pm Eastern. Following the service, at 3pm, we invite those who wish to pay their respects to the family to gather at the home of Barbara Simonetti, 7755 Yardley Drive, Apt. D307, Tamarac, Fla. 33321-0891.

Born in Kingston, N.Y., Barbara was 79 years old; she was to turn 80 on May 25. She was an amazing mother and guiding spirit for other family members and friends. Professionally, Barbara was a teacher and educator across her professional career, with a B.A. in Education from State University of New York-Oneonta and a M.S. in Education at State University of New York-New Paltz. Early in her career, she taught at George Washington Elementary School in Kingston, N.Y. Later in her career, Barbara was an instructor and educator at Bank of America and, previously, Fleet Bank, in Kingston, N.Y.

Barbara is survived by her son, Adam R Jacobson, of Delray Beach, Fla.; daughter, Tanya Hunt, of Haiku, Hawaii; brother, Marc Reuben, of Tillson, N.Y.; grandchildren Amber, Ethan and Bodhi Hunt; son-in-law Michael Hunt; daughter-in-law Dana Bari Jacobson; sister-in-law Jo Ann Reuben; niece Rachel Senor (Sean); nephew Jeremy Reuben (Kathleen); and life partner Murray Schein. She is preceded in death by husband Jerry Simonetti; mother Tillie Reuben; and father Irving Reuben.
