

Dennis Joseph Freckleton age 52, of Tamarac passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2026 at Vitas, Coral Springs Hospital. Dennis was born on September 8th, 1973 in Kingston Jamaica to Joseph Freckleton and Meldora Ellington. He graduated from Duhaney Park Primary in 1984 and went on to John Mills All Age when he spent two years. Here he earned a full scholarship to Dunoon Technical High School where he spent three years graduating in 1988.
Dennis demonstrated leadership from a young age. As a student in Jamaica he served as Head Boy and Student Council President at both John Mills and Dunoon. He also served as President and Lieutenant Governor for Key Club overseeing several high schools while mentoring and guiding in coming students. His first trip to America landed him in Chicago representing Key Club in Jamaica as the Lieutenant Governor. In the United States of America he continued his dedication to youth leadership by serving as President of the Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. He also served at the Florida District of Kiwanis International level as Assistant Zone Administrator for the Key Club in Zone J which covers the Key Club Lieutenant Governor and Key Clubs within Broward County. This was special to Dennis as this title was not new to him being Lieutenant Governor in high school. He did exceptionally well in his respective Kiwanis role and was one proud Kiwanian.
Dennis lived a life defined by leadership, service and an unwavering commitment to others. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served honorably and concluded his active duty in 1997 with the rank of Corporal. During his service, he was stationed in South Carolina, Camp La Jeune in North Carolina and Okinawa, Japan. While serving he earned several championship while competing in Judo competition. Following his military service, Dennis continued to pursue excellence in leadership and entrepreneurship. He served as the Chief Information Officer ( CIO) of Cognasys LLC on August 26th, 1999 to December 31st, 2014. In less than a year he became the founder and CEO of Tesoco Financial Corporation in October 26th, 2015 to his passing. His vision, determination and passion for empowering others made him a respected figure in both business and community circles.
Dennis was a teacher at heart, skilled mathematician and a debater by nature. He was confident, charismatic and known for his strong convictions. He holds a commanding presence that could fill any room, yet he remained deeply loving and nurturing to those closest to him. He believed in standing firmly for what he believed in, while always extending kindness and service to others. A true social butterfly, Dennis loved connecting with people, engaging in discussion about politics and sharing stories from his times in the marines. Above all he cherished spending time with his children and traveling.
Dennis loved the LORD and ensured his gifts and talents served the local church. He accepted the LORD as his personal Saviour and followed in water baptism. While at Life Fellowship Seventh Day Adventist he served as the Treasurer. Bible study was something he encouraged and even host it in his own home. He instilled in his children the importance of putting GOD first and building a relationship with him while being planted in the local church. He always looked forward to the fellowship after Sabbath service and the discussions held at different individual homes.
Dennis is lovingly remembered by his parents Joseph and Meldora, his children Alyssa, Alexis and Aaron, siblings Nathalee, Shelly-Ann, Simone, Kimalee, Nasahar and Ovando. Brother-in-law Mark, Randy and Hanif. Nieces and nephews Trinity, Evanthani, Aaron, Alex, Julius, Haneita, Abigail, Elijah, Ezekiel, Isaiah and Leila. Grand-nephew D’Anthony, along with a host of relatives, friends and loved ones whose life he touched deeply.
A Celebration of Dennis’ life will be held on April 8, at 8am at Life Fellowship Seventh Day Adventist Church 10021 West Sample Road, Coral Springs, FL. 33065. The service will be followed by burial at South Florida National Cemetery 6501 South State Road 7 Wellington Florida 33449, with everyone meeting in lane 3.
Dennis will be remembered for his leadership, his passion for service, his love for people and the powerful impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of strength, mentorship and love will live on in the hearts of his family and community.
