He attended Norwich Primary & Elementary Public School until the age of 15. He was awarded a scholarship to attend Dint Hill Technical High followed by 4 years of college at Dint Hill Agricultural College. His first employment was at the Nestles Milk Company in Bog Walk, JA.
Eddie as he was affectionately called, met Thelma Bailey while working at The Jamaican Agricultural Society Corporation. They were married in 1967 and shortly after migrating to the USA where he worked at several high- powered jobs including Operation Manager for a branch at Boston Bank in addition to work at Randolph Computer Company for several years in New Jersey. He was later transferred to South Florida to operate a branch for the Randolph Company. The company downsized and closed its operations after which Eddie went into retirement.
He found his church home at Coral Baptist which later became Church by the Glades. He was an active church member and worked as a volunteer for several years taping programs, making tapes and selling them along with t-shirts, etc.
Eddie recently became ill and succumbed to his illness on November 3, 2018. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 50 years Thelma, nieces Marcia E., KaLinda T., Marcia W., Thadeen D., Jackie B., Ashia M. (Goddaughter), nephews, brother- in- law Steve Bailey and many friends to mourn his loss.
