Eleanor (Ellie) Tross reached the end of her active and cherished life on September 19, 2023, at the age of 99. The youngest of four children, she was born Eleanor Glick to Nathan and Sarah Glick in Brooklyn, NY on May 2, 1924.
Residing in Savanah, GA and then Miami Beach, FL, she was a single mom and successful beautician. Finally retiring in Sunrise, FL, she kept busy volunteering for various charities, playing mahjong and doting on her granddaughter.
Predeceased by her parents, one brother and two sisters, Ellie is survived by her loving family: daughter Elaine Tross, son Bruce (Dana) Tross and granddaughter Alexa Tross & many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday September 21st at 2:45 pm at Star of David Cemetery and Funeral Chapel 7701 N Bailey Rd. N. Lauderdale, FL 33068. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to City of Hope, an organization Ellie supported, or to Trustbridge Hospice or to a charity of your choice.
