Esther Rubin was born in Chicago, and grew up during WWII. She was surrounded by love in her early ears with her siblings, Florence, Helen, and Irwin and was very close to her parents, Lillian and Morris.
After WWII, she married Henry and they moved to Evanston, IL to begin their life together. Esther and Henry had two children, Steve and Barbara and shared 52 years together before Henry’s passing in 2005. Esther was a devoted wife and mother. Once her children were older and in high school, Esther went to work for a copier company where her meticulousness and work ethic made her very well-loved and a valuable employee. When she did move, they begged her to stay.
In the early 80’s, Esther and Henry moved to Southeast Florida. They loved their time in their new home. Esther had many interests that included walking, bicycling, and swimming. She was active in charity work but still found the time to enjoy bowling with Henry. They bowled together as well as on women’s and men’s teams.
Her life will be celebrated by all that remember her.
