

Born and raised in Queens, New York, George built a life defined by dedication, integrity, and deep care for others. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Queensborough Community College and later a Bachelor’s Degree from Oglethorpe University, laying the foundation for a successful career in information technology.
George spent 25 years with MetLife, where he rose to the position of Assistant Vice President of IT. After relocating his family to Mercerville, New Jersey in 1985, his career
led him to Duluth, Georgia in 1992, where he played a key leadership role in establishing and growing MetLife’s Atlanta office.
He was happily married to his beloved wife, Susan, for 50 years—a partnership marked by love, shared experiences, and unwavering support. After retiring in 2010, George and Susan settled in Deaton Creek in Braselton, Georgia, an active 55+ community where
George fully embraced life. He participated in countless activities,including softball (as both a player and manager), tennis, golf, hiking—including an unforgettable trek through the Grand Canyon—poker, and even the community’s magic club, where he delighted neighbors with multiple performances.
George lived life with energy, passion, and a deep love for those around him. He was also a devoted New York Mets fan, watching almost every game even though they constantly broke his heart. George shared a love of travel with his wife, Susan, and
together they visited all 50 states. He also cherished traveling with his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Heather, creating lasting memories around the world.
George will be remembered as a generous, empathetic, and ethical man with a terrific sense of humor and a willingness to laugh at himself. He had a passion for learning and maintained an active lifestyle throughout his life. He made a lasting impact on his
family, friends, colleagues, and teammates, always investing in others and helping them achieve their goals.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his son, Scott, and daughter-in-law, Heather; his brothers, Paul and Billy; nieces Dawn and Kali; nephew Nick; and his godsons, Brad and Cliff.
