

Judith L Margolis, born January 3, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away on June 23, 2025, at her home in Tamarac, FL. Raised in Fresh Meadows, Queens, she resided there until 1994, when she moved to Florida, making her home in Tamarac.
Always learning, she graduated from Jamaica High School, Class of 1952, and proceeded on to Oberlin College, where she completed her undergraduate degree in 1956. She then attained her Master’s Degree from Queens College. Judith was a High School Teacher with the New York City Board of Education, teaching English from 1956 until her retirement in 1993.
In 1958 she married Seymour Margolis. Together they raised a family (Danny & Jason), and shared many happy times, until his passing in 2013.
Judith was many things throughout her life. She was most proud of being a teacher, matriarch, wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to all that knew her.
Being an activist, donor, naturalist, teacher, and volunteer extraordinaire was her life’s mission, and gave her the opportunity to touch and enrich many lives. She was the founder of The Recycling Center in Fresh Meadows, NY, as well as Fern Allies, Inc; a 501(c)(3) in Coconut Creek, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Judith, may be made to Fern Allies, Inc - 201 Lyons Road South, Coconut Creek, FL 33063
She is survived by her two sons and their spouses (Danny & Andrea; Jason & Dina), as well as her 3 grandchildren (Samantha; Jacob; Hannah).
A Celebration of Life will be held at Star of David Memorial Chapel, located at 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, United States. The service is scheduled for July 23, 2025, at 2:45 pm.
