Jules, It has been four months, and I just want to say, I don't miss you any less, but the pain is beginning to pass. It doesn't mean that I don't miss your voice, and have that stabbing feeling knowing I will never see you on THIS EARTH again, but it means that the acceptance of your leaving has started to heal my heart, and I know Jules, you will see me again when I enter paradise. Please know that your sisters love you and miss you also...and Michelle I know is taking it the hardest.  Love, Mom

Hi Jules,
I have been putting off writing you for long enough.  Since your passing I have had so many thoughts and emotions that I wanted to wait until I sorted them out, and was able to tell you what I wanted to say.
It is hard to accept that you are not on this earth any longer.  For as many people as I have seen get taken down by this disease, I prayed so hard that you would really get it, before it took you. But it was not to be.
Before I go any further, I want you to know that all the times I said that I loved you, I meant it; and cherished your words when you called me, "Dad".
I know the last few times we saw each other were not the best times in our relationship. I am sorry for the way I spoke, and ask you and The Lord to forgive me.  I was frustrated from not being able to show you the way to recovery and a better way to live, and angry at the disease called addiction.  I wanted you to get it, perhaps more than you wanted it for yourself.
I know that you loved The Lord, as He loved you; and now I see that maybe your destiny was to go home to Him so that you can hold the door open for others to follow.
I have learned much from you, both in your living and in your passing.
You loved a lot of people, even some that didn't love you.  You always had a kind word for most everybody, and always forgave others for their trespasses.  I could learn much from that. 
I have learned, and hope to always remember, to tell those I love that I do, often.  I have learned how much my parents hurt all those years that I was caught in the net of addiction, and how ever grateful I will be to G-d for pulling me out from the living hell of addiction. I know He picked me for a reason, and I will spend the rest of my life seeking those reasons. 
I promise to be at your mother's side for as long as I live; to love and cherish her, and especially to help her through this very sad time.  The sadness is ours, sad that you are not here on earth with us, sad that you didn't get to spend more time with your two boys, sad that you didn't share better times with your sisters.  I pray for the time when all of us will be together in heaven, smiling, singing and laughing, in our new life.

Julie, Jules, Jul, Jewels....so many names, but to me you are my Julie...I found that name while I was pregnant for you. You remember the story. The little house your Dad and I moved into, it was old and run down, but had so much potential...and the neighbor told me about the little old lady that lived there. Her name was Julie..and everyone loved her. She had the biggest heart in town. She didn't have much but what she had she shared with those who had less than her, but always baking for neighbors, and giving it away. Could never do enough kind acts...always wanting to give. That name became your name because I could envision you with that same big heart, always trying to help others.  And potential Julie, you had more than most people would have in 2 life times, so smart and talented.  And you loved the Lord..our many talks on the phone about God....I will never forget. You had great faith too Jules, and always knew God had your back. And you loved your sisters in spite of their shortcomings, because you know we all have them, but the one thing you did was write that letter a year ago thanksgiving morning...and shared the heart that I always knew was yours.  You bared it for me and loved me, and knew that this letter would be the one thing I can carry the rest of my days, and know and feel your love.  I know Jules, you had your stumbling blocks, God knows that too...but now you are at rest. No more worries, no more monkey on your back, you are at peace with the Prince himself. I have been asking for a sign that you are with Him. I went to your grave sight on your birthday, and spent time talking with you, pleading to hear that you are with Him and safe. Last night I had a dream. The phone rang and Jerry picked it up, he started talking and saying its Julie, on the phone..I couldn't believe it. I told him let me talk, let me hear for my self. He handed me the phone and sure enough your voice, the one that always leaves me such sweet voice mails..Hi Mom, Its me Jules, and I am ok...I couldn't believe it, it was your voice. Then I asked you, Julie, are you coming over, I want to see you,  and you said yes, I will be right there. I started getting ready for you, and before I could walk to the next room you came in the house.  It was you but not looking like the Julie I lost...but a different look, fresh and beautiful, with curly, curly blond hair and as I walked to you, I woke up.  I got your message Jules, you are ok, and for that I am so grateful. and I wondered why you looked so different, and the Lord reminded me, in His word I recalled that when we die, we will have new bodies, heavenly body's.. and that is why I woke up. I would never have been able to hug you...I love you Jules, and miss you so much.  You better be the first one to the gate when I get up there besides the Lord. julie, I want you to know that i miss you and love you very much. Ive truely realized one thing out of this that you have opened my eyes to...I had three beautiful, intelligent, talented and caring sisters. I will no longer take this fact for granted again. If I could take anything back it would be that you were in my life more than what you were. You were always around to chit chat, be at my wedding, and to always let me know you cared. It wasnt you who lost out Julie, it was me. Im sorry. Im sorry for the pain you had and never asked, but silently understood. Just know that now you have left an impact on how i look at my life,the world, my family, and how to love.

?15 months ago, we sat on my lawn and talked for hours. We had not seen each other since 1st grade, but we had memories! On the 1st day of school in 1st grade you amazed me by reading all the words on the plaque under the bell in the auditorium foyer at C-M. You were a special child and I remember you vividly! Julie - Wow, you are gone. Seeing you yesterday made it more real than ever for me. I love you and miss you so much. I have so many memories of us growing up. All the hours we spend listening to cassette tapes and writing down all the lyrics so we could sing them better..play-stop-rewind-play-stop-rewind; some of them we couldnt make out and we just made up whatever sounded good, we butchered Human Leagues "Dont you want me"!! 
All of our trips "Uptown" to go to skippys and buy candy and soda and our first job at the Pizza Shop folding boxes...the pay stunk but we got free pizza!! Our summer spent at Jordan pool and our trips we took as "big" girls to Texas. 
Thank you for always being my big sister and never letting anyone pick on me or hurt me in school...it wasnt easy for us, I know. You did the best that you knew how and now it all seems good enough for me, please forgive me when it didnt seem as so.
I will miss you, but I know that you are above, watching down on all of us. I will see you once again in Heaven and it will be there that I will tell you all the things I didnt have the chance too.

I am so glad to have you home in South Florida. It was so good to see you today, and to know that you are close to us now. As my firstborn, you will always have that special place in my heart, and I will never forget the good times, the love, the laughter, and pain we have shared throughout the years. You will always be close to my heart, and I wait for that day, when you greet me at heaven's gate, to walk me into to our eternal home. May you delight in the presence of Yeshua, and keep a watchful eye on all of us from up above.  As Steven said, God took his angel, which he did, and we miss you dearly. Until we meet again my darling daughter, my heart will ache with the loss of your presence here on earth.

As you grieve know that I am remembering you and honoring the memory of Julie. May God wrap his arms around you all during your journey through grief.

We have so many memories of growing up with you and your sisters! Always wanting to go to your house, since you had the pool. Listening to Michael Jackson cassettes. NO ONE was allowed in your mom's blue living room. You babysitting us. When you would chase Em and Shelley around the house, because they had something of yours!
And especially that infectious laugh!  
We will miss you Jewel!(Spelled this way, because you are a special treasure!) Your beautiful light will shine forever in our memories and our hearts!
