Ken was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 12, 1941, the son of Ann (Soren) and Jack Sachs. Ken graduated from Central High School, and continued his education at Temple University. He received his PhD from Baylor University and went on to be a renowned Baltimore psychologist. He opened his practice, Psychology Consultants Associated, in 1968 and continued helping patients for the next 50 years. He was a devoted and dedicated doctor and loved his work.
The joy of his life was his beautiful family, including his daughters, Romy Mason (Jason Curran), Jennifer Sachs, step-children Lindsay Garfield (Mike Groves) and Eric Garfield. He loved his grandchildren, Nolan, Quinn, and Sage, with all his heart. His wife, Roberta, was the love of his life and his best friend. He loved her so much, and told her this every day. They had a special and unique bond.
Ken was committed to keeping himself in shape and spent most of his adult life hiking, working out, swimming, and cycling. He loved living his retirement in Florida, where he could do all of his favorite activities all year long and go on long walks with his beloved dog, Max. No matter where he lived, his devotion to the Philadelphia Phillies and the Baltimore Ravens never wavered.
Ken will be missed by his family, his loved ones, and his friends for all time. Services will be held at Star of David Memorial Cemetery, North Lauderdale, FL, on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association or any meaningful charity.
