

Marvin Minkoff of Sunrise, Florida passed away on August 24, 2021 at age 93. Marvin lived a long and wonderful life. Marvin was born in Bronx, New York on December 15, 1927. He grew up in the Bronx, where he made childhood friendships which literally lasted a lifetime. After graduating from DeWitt Clinton High School, Marvin served in the U.S. Navy for one year and later in the Naval Reserve and the Army Reserve.
Marvin had a highly successful career in the textile industry in New York City’s garment center for many years before transitioning to the field of executive recruitment where he also achieved great success. Marvin owned and operated Westbrook Associates in Portland, Maine where he worked until retiring. Upon retirement, Marvin permanently relocated to Florida.
Marvin’s retirement years were truly golden as he and his beloved wife Ann traveled extensively and enjoyed the company of a large group of friends.
Marvin was an avid golfer, loved to read and traveled extensively. He grew up during the Great Depression and was always thankful for being able to do many things in life which he never thought possible.
Marvin is survived by his beloved wife Ann. Their love for each other was a joy to behold for all who were lucky enough to see it.
Marvin was also a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. In addition to Ann, Marvin is survived by his children and Ann’s children Andrea Freeman, Bruce Minkoff, Gary (Cheryl) Minkoff, Michael (Donna) Leighton, Kathy (Joe) Tuttle, Karen Cannell and Richard (Nicole) Leighton, grandchildren Aliza, Dan (Allison), Elana, Ronnie and Corrie Minkoff, Lindsey (Ryan) Putney, Mitchell, Jacob and Hannah Tuttle, Robbie Cannell, and Azsa and Colby Leighton, great-grandchildren Reese Avery Minkoff and Chase and Maeve Putney, his sister Lorraine Spring and his niece and nephews. Marvin was predeceased by his parents Freida and Max Minkoff and his son-in-law Jack Freeman. Marvin will be missed by his family and many friends

The funeral will be at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida on September 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
