Maureen Ann Silverman

Maureen Silverman, affectionately known as “Babe,” passed away peacefully on February 21, 2022, with her family by her side. Babe was born January 28, 1935, to Eva and Irving Zofnas. She was a devoted, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and never was there ever a better friend. A baker extraordinaire, gourmet cook and champion tennis player. Maureen was the type of person who was always willing to lend an ear, a helping hand and a kind word. But most of all, bringing joy to those she loved, with her spectacular sense of humor and playful spirit. Her smile would light up a room and as beautiful as she was on the outside, it was her beauty inside that made her the exceptional person she was. Maureen is survived by her loving husband Jules Silverman, brother Melvin Zofnas, devoted children Leslie ( CHarles) Mishner, Diane ( Joe) Byers, Doug (Tena) Torn, Sheryl ( Val) DeCosta, Paul ( Sheila) Silverman, GARY (Annie) Silverman, her wonderful grandchildren, Rachel (Jason) Ayachi, Josh (Victoria) Torn, Devon (Patrick) McBrayer, Michael Mishner, Carrie Torn, Douglas ( Shelby) Duffy, Alexandra DeCosta Jared Silverman and spectacular great granddaughter, Eliza McBrayer. Funeral services will be held at Star of David Memorial Chapel and Gardens at 7701 Bailey Road, Ft. Lauderdale at 2:45pm on February 23, 2022
