Remembering with love our dear friend Phyllis on this day, a sad day for us all. She was a bright light for us - fighting her health battles with courage and  always looking beautiful. We go back soooo far that I chuckle when I think of our carpooling our precious 5 ? yr olds, now 55  year old sons, my  Greg and her Sam , to U of Miami for afternoon art classes , that for sure made them the cultured gents they are today. Fun memories of a great lady, mom, friend.

Just learned of Phyllis’ passing. My condolences to the family.
We were neighbors in Deering Bay and I remember her as the sweetest most loving person I’ve met. She was always asking about my kids by name (even while sick herself). Rest in peace Phyllis, your memory is a blessing to all of us who met you.

It’s hard to believe that a year has passed .  But no matter the time, the good memories we have of our dear Phyllis are very fresh!  She was beautiful, smart and funny-  and strong of course , had to be with her large and lively family. 
May we always feel blessed to have had her as our friend.

To the wonderful family of Phyllis Yaffa,

We were blessed to have the Yaffa gang as our neighbors loooong ago- fun and loving parents and the cutest kids ever. Who remembers Halloween when Phyllis allowed Jack to play the “ mad surgeon”!?
It’s a tribute to their parents humor, strength and devotion that those “ kids” turned out  to be their parents pride and joy.  Phyllis, you did a great job, while always looking superb. A beautiful, caring mother, wife and friend- we were all blessed!

All our sympathy and compassion to Jack and the entire Yaffa family on the loss of such a wonderful woman.  Phyllis Yaffa was the epitome of  kindness, warmth and love!  She was devoted to Jack and her family.  They were the loves of her life!!  What a courageous and brave person she was while going through such a prolonged ordeal with dignity! Jack, Andy, Sam, Jodi, and Craig-
Your family is forever embedded in my wonderful childhood memories.  Visiting my Grandma in Hallandale each summer always allowed for a trip to Miami to see The Yaffas.  I remember boat rides, catching conch, swimming in your backyard, eating delicious foods, maybe having a crush on Andy and Sam, maybe wanting a bedroom like Jodi's, and maybe wishing I had a baby brother like Greg.   I adored Jack and Phyllis and loved when they visited family in Richmond and I was able to visit with them.  You are all in my thoughts and your words about your mom were so beautiful.  I was only allowed one photo, so I uploaded more on Andy's Facebook page.  

Jack,Andy, Sam,Jodi and Greg and families,  Thoughts and prayers to all.  Phyllis  has always been a beautiful and classy lady.   No doubt, she has been the heart and soul of the Yaffa family. We cherish the opportunity to have known her many years.  Our love, Jerry and Karen Williams

Dearest Yaffa Family,
One of the hardest things in life is letting go of someone we love.
Although it is difficult to bear the loss of dear Phyllis, I believe that hope survives, love prevails, tears cleanse, memories comfort, faith soothes and good thoughts reassure.
We honor her life today, her inner strength,  relentless courage and determination...
Recognizing her goodness, her uniqueness , her own special gifts shared generously with family and friends.
